School of Engineering

School of Engineering was established in 2010. It consists of six departments. Currently the school has 23 faculty members, 1200 BS students.

It offers BS in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Each year around 300 BS students are admitted to the school.

Departmental Facilities:

  • Well equipped, modern laboratories which are used in undergraduate instruction, and for graduate research.
  • Well equipped classrooms.
  • Excellent computer labs and internet access.
  • Mechanical workshops for practical experience.
  • Network connections between the laboratories and workshops around the campus.

We are a vibrant community of researchers focused on addressing major challenges in electronic devices and materials, and systems engineering.

We are an active department within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, proud of our reputation as a friendly and supportive environment for our students.

The Vision of the Department of Civil Engineering is to be a centre of excellence of higher learning, research with emphasis on national relevance, innovation and creativity in Civil Engineering.

Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.

Industrial engineering is an inter-disciplinary profession that is concerned with the optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations by developing, improving and implementing integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy and materials.
