School of Mathematics and Computer Science:

School of Mathematics and Computer Science offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Mathematics. It also offers bachelor degree in Computer Science.  The School maintains a highly trained and research active environment with a balanced commitment to research and education.

The School offers 3 B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Applications, Computer Science and Mathematical Statistics, 10 M.S. degrees in Pure Mathematics (algebra- group theory), Pure Mathematics (mathematical analysis), Pure Mathematics (topology and geometry), Pure Mathematics (algebra, logic, code, crypt, and combinatorics), Pure Mathematics (computational algebra), Applied Mathematics (numerical analysis), Applied Mathematics (operations research), Applied Mathematics (control and optimization), Applied Mathematics (statistical models) and Scientific Computing and  6 PhD degrees in Pure Mathematics (algebra), Pure Mathematics (mathematics analysis), Pure Mathematics (Geometry), Pure Mathematics ( computational algebra), Applied Mathematics (numerical analysis), Applied Mathematics (operations research).

The School has recently renovated teaching and research laboratories where the students and faculty conduct their research. These include Network Lab, Database Lab, Graphics Lab, Virtual Reality Lab, Hardware Lab, Electrical Lab and Robotic Lab.

All the facilities such as Computer Sites and Research and Study Hall, required for adequate research, are provided for M.Sc. and PhD students and faculty as well.

School of Biology:

School of Biology was established in 2006, consists of 14 faculty members in Plant and Animal Sciences, approximately 500 undergraduate students in General Biology, Molecular Cell Sciences, Plant Sciences, 35 graduate students in Masters of Plant physiology, Ecology, Animal Physiology, Histology and Embriology, Biochemistry, Developmental biology and PhD of Physiology. Presently, it offers various subjects in the following degree programs:

3 B.S. degrees in General Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Plant Sciences, 6 M.S. degrees in Animal Science (animal physiology), Histology and Embryology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Plant Physiology, Plant Systematic Ecology. 1 PhD degree in Animal Science (animal physiology).

  • We undertake high quality research on the following issues:

  • Neurosciences include neurodegeneration, Stress, Parkinson

  • Stem Cell Research: Neural progenitors, MSC and PPSC

  • Ovarian and Ovum physiology and transplantation

  • Herbal medicine; extraction and purification

  • Plant physiology and systematic

School of Chemistry:

School of Chemistry was founded in 1994 and at the moment, 4 B.S. degrees in Applied, Pure, Environmental Chemistry and Chemistry (IT), 5 M.S. and PhD degrees in Analytical Chemistry, Physics Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Applied Chemistry are offered and aims to make a significant contribution in establishing fields of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in B.Sc. degree and Polymer Chemistry, Phytochemistry, Nanochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and catalyst Chemistry Group in M.Sc. and PhD courses over the next few years.

The School also includes 1 workshop, 4 educational labs: Organic Chemistry Lab, Inorganic Chemistry Lab, Analytical Chemistry Lab and Physics-Chemistry Lab, 8 Research Labs: Organic Chemistry Lab, Inorganic Chemistry Lab, Analytical Chemistry Lab, Instrumental Analytical Chemistry Lab including research instrumentation such as: HPLC, Polarograph, ICP, CHNSO, DSC-TGA, IR, GC and Uv-vis. This School is planning to provide students and faculty with 10 research laboratories equipped with NMR, GC-MS and Florence in order to pave the way for them to do their research in an academic environment.

School of Earth Sciences:

Welcome to the school of Earth Sciences at Damghan University. We focus on research and education about the history of our planet, its structure and resources, and the processes operating at a wide range of spatial and temporal scales. Our scientific activities and interests span many disciplines within the Earth System Science with special attention to areas that take advantage of Iran’s geological diversities.

As the first school, our school was founded in 1992 by undergraduate teaching curriculum in geology. Currently two B.S. degrees in Geology, and Geomorphology and 5 M.S. courses in Tectonics, Stratigraphy and Paleontology, Economic Geology, Engineering Geology, and Petrology are offered. The school includes 20 full-time earth scientists, geologists, and geographers and our student body includes about 80 graduate students and over 400 undergraduate majors.

School of Physics:

School of Physics was established in 1995, and from the beginning it has always been actively involved in teaching and research projects. The School has been expanded within almost 20 years and now it offers various subjects in physics leading to B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees. The following subjects are offered at this School:

2 B.Sc. degrees in Physics and  Engineering physics, 4 M.S. degrees in Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics and Nanophysics and 2 PhD degrees in Condensed Matter Physics and Nuclear Physics.

The School has the following teaching and research laboratories where the students and faculty can perform their research:

Solid State Physics Lab, Nuclear Lab, Optics Lab, Thin Films Lab, Nanophysics Lab, Nanometric Coating Research Lab, SPM Microscope Lab.

School of Engineering:

School of Engineering was established in 2006.

Presently, 860 students are studying in the fields of Computer, Industries, Electronics, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering.

The School has a computer room equipped with some PCs and a collection of software which is used in Electronic Engineering Fundamentals Workshop, Electrical and Electronical Circuit Workshop 1 and Logical Circuit Workshop.

Civil Engineering Department has an advanced concrete technology laboratory for educational and research aims.

School of Art:

As part of a major research at university, the School of Art is committed to excellence, open inquiry, substantial contributions and potential of creative practice. Our renowned academic staff is deeply committed to teaching and creative research. We attract students who are self-motivated, visually and conceptually inventive and interested in being a part of an outstanding community of artists. The School of Art offers a bachelor of Art degree with courses in the areas of Dramatic Literature and TV and Digital Arts.

Presently, the School has nine workshops: Photography Workshop, Studio Theater (2 Studios), Graphic Workshop, Two-Dimensional Animation Workshop, Computer Animation Workshop, Puppet Animation Workshop and Drawing Workshop.
